In recent years, a divide has emerged between individuals who pursue higher education and those who do not, leading to disparities in job stability and access to opportunities. This division has cultivated an environment where lack of opportunity becomes a barrier to progress. Recognizing this, our partnership with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is a strategic response to this challenge, enabling Ladders Program participants to earn their GED or undergo vocational training in specialized job fields that do not necessitate a four-year degree. Participants are eligible to obtain certifications in automotive technology, commercial truck driving, construction, plumbing, HVAC, manufacturing, and more – all in-demand sectors.

Our Workforce Development component begins with a Career Readiness Day, which includes mock interviews, resume building workshops, professional headshots, and insights from industry professionals. Following this, participants are matched with local businesses for internships or full-time jobs, equipping them with the necessary skills and experiences for success in skilled professions. This comprehensive approach not only provides a crucial support system but also contributes to community empowerment, ensuring our youth have the opportunities and resources needed to succeed in a complex world.
